Embracing intentional spiritual growth is the difference between wishing for change and actually becoming the person God has called you to be. When you commit to intentional spiritual growth, you stop waiting for the “right feeling” and start practicing the “right focus.”
By the third day of January, the initial spark of a new year can start to flicker. The noise of your old routine begins to compete with the new goals you set just 48 hours ago.
I want to connect with you on this: it is perfectly normal to feel a dip in motivation today. Real growth isn’t a straight line upward; it is a series of small, intentional choices made when you’d rather stay comfortable.
If you find yourself hitting a roadblock already, don’t see it as a failure. See it as the exact place where your faith gets to become real.
Growth happens when we shift our agenda to match His. Instead of simply asking God to bless your plans, start asking Him to show you His plans for your character.
Are you being curious about how He wants you to handle stress today? Are you looking for common ground with a difficult person in your life? When you prioritize these “connection points,” you aren’t just checking a box; you are building a bridge to a deeper relationship with Christ.
Receive the grace to be intentional today. You don’t have to be perfect; you just have to be present and willing to take the next step He puts in front of you.
Scripture
“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18 NIV
Closing Thought
Resolutions are about what you do, but growth is about who you are becoming. Trust the process and the One who is leading the way. Even if your progress feels slow today, remember that consistent steps in the right direction lead to a destination of lasting peace.
