Using Technology Wisely and Protecting Your Peace

Technology connects us, teaches us, and helps us work. But it can also pull us into distraction, comparison, and anxiety if we’re not careful. God calls us to live with intention, even in how we use our devices.

Set Healthy Boundaries

Decide when you’ll check your phone and when you’ll put it down. Try screen-free meals, quiet time in the morning, or a tech curfew before bed. These breaks create space for rest and reflection.

Choose Content That Builds You Up

Social media and online spaces can either lift you or drain you. Follow voices that encourage, teach, and inspire you to grow. Mute or unfollow accounts that spark fear, anger, or unhealthy comparison.

Protect Time With God

Start your day with Scripture or prayer before scrolling. Those first moments shape your thoughts and help you hear God’s voice above the noise.

Stay Connected in Real Life

Technology is great, but it’s no substitute for face-to-face relationships. Spend time with people who know and love you. True connection gives balance and joy.

Reflect

Where does technology steal the most of your peace — endless scrolling, negative voices, late-night screen time? What’s one boundary you could set this week?

Call to Action

Pray today:
Lord, help me use technology with wisdom. Show me what to change so I can stay close to You and protect my peace.

Scripture

“Be very careful, then, how you live — not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:15-16 (NIV)
